Description
Flexible classes oriented around Aviation English and some General English (if desired) to help you improve your ability to speak and operate in English. Objectives can be agreed with the teacher in advance to help each individual student maximise their time.
Skills are developed beyond those necessary for ICAO tests to give students more confidence to interact in English in their daily lives. Those extra skills developed relate to reading and writing, which can be necessary for students who wish to reach level 5. These skills are also useful for students who wish to read and write more successfully in their work and personal lives.
This course may use a book where appropriate to help students maintain and go beyond level 4. If your level is below level 4 and you want to reach level 4, try our ICAO Level 4 Course. This course is suited to pilots or people who are interested in this career.
Teaching Pedagogy
The teaching pedagogy for this course is what is known as CLIL (Content and language integrated learning). There is a dual focus on content and language. Real-life topics which are relevant to the environment that pilots work in and live are used which create interest and motivate the student during communicative activities. The teaching promotes the noticing of language features which emerge from the topics discussed.
You can contact Fly High English for a free evaluation and more information about which course is best for you.
